  • Description: More than ever before, teaching the French language in Vietnam copes with seemingly insuperable difficulties due to the foreign languages education policy in force in the country but - also - the upward anglophile trend in print media in Vietnamese. A recent research on provisional loanwords shows that the French language is most disadvantaged then most likely to disappear in favor of English in the modern Vietnamese society.
