Methods: Changes in proliferation rate, migration capacity and synthesis of the extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins proteoglycans, total collagen and procollagen I were analyzed after stimulations with different sizes (10 and 75 nm) and concentrations (2 and 10 pg/ml) of Ag nanoparticles in human lung fibroblasts (HFL-1) cultures.
