  • Description: The present study aimed to adapt the Positive Psychological Functioning Scale into Brazilian Portuguese and gather the first evidence of validity and accuracy of the instrument. Two samples were collected at different times; sample one was composed of 322 subjects, aged between 18 and 65 years (M=26.2, SD=8.58; being 79.2% female), while sample two was formed by 326 participants, aged between 18 and 60 years (M=27.2, SD=9.1; being 73.4% female). First, the cross-cultural adaptation was performed and considered the particular language aspects. Then, the confirmatory factor analyses performed indicated adequacy of the hierarchical structure composed of 11 first-order factors, all with good accuracy indicators for both samples. The results suggest that the version of the EFPP for Brazil is an adequate measure to measure the target construct and indicate the instrument's stability.
