  • Description: The need for lower cost materials in the form of continuous, umform rolls has led to extensive efforts to develop man-made leathers with the strength, suppleness, and comfort of the natural product. While early attempts were limited to leather styling of coated fabrics, recent advances in synthetic fibers, textile technology and polymer science have opened new approaches to more exact duplication of the structure and properties of leather.
