  • Description: This paper describes the performance and cost improvements obtained at a southern US paper mill making high quality coated board grades. The benefits were a result of the application of unique press felts supplied by Weavexx. The Huyperm 2 PS technology generated significant cost savings of approximately $140,000/year for this mill. In addition the mill now supplies new customers due to the enhanced sheet quality resulting from these new felts.
