Description: In a large case–control study in England, immunity to the omicron variant was very low and less than that to the delta variant 20 weeks after the second vaccine dose, regardless of the initial vaccine type. A booster dose of one of the mRNA vaccines improved efficacy to approximately 65 to 70%, but protection waned over a 10-week period.
