  • Description: The National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Cares fourth quarter Actual Rates Report shows that move-ins at both assisted-living and independent-living properties outpaced move-outs for the third consecutive quarter. The report states that senior housing occupancy improved nationally by 0.2 percentage points to 81.2% in January, from a three-month rolling basis. Curryer says Rockwood Retirement Communities also has increased wages for its staff and has turned to contract labor agencies to meet its staffing needs.
