Description:
Faced with the buyers' cry for ecologically friendly products, printers started meeting their customers' needs with recycled paper. Over the past 5 years, most industry leaders agree recycled paper has improved in quality, and, in general, shop owners are satisfied with how it runs on press. The reason for the gradual quality improvement in recycled paper is a combination of new paper-making technology as well as printers' and supplers' diligence in learning to work with the intricacies of recycled paper. A new consumables-related issue starting to gain attention in the US is dioxin-free non-chlorine paper. Developments in the dioxin issue are discussed.
