  • Description: A new report published by the Iron and Steel Statistics Bureau, "North American steel industry--strategy, structure and outlook," is a detailed review of the sector. Containing a wealth of 1999 and 2000 material and forecasts to 2008-2009, it addresses a wide range of topics including the industries of each country, the major issues, foreign trade, and supply and demand. The report aims to provide an in depth review of the competitive realities of the countries in the region and discusses the issues that are inherent in operating in them. Written by Mark Payne, the report is the second of a series of four and follows on from the edition on the European steel industry.
