  • Description: Sea Surface Temperature (SST) has a role in the process of rainfall has a role in an area with varying amounts to adjust the geographical location and topographic conditions in the region. The purpose of this study is to determine the connection of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) in North Maluku Waters to rainfall in the City of Ternate area. The method used in this study is Analysis Correlation Pearson and Spline Interpolation. The results obtained show that the Sea Surface Temperature (SST) in the North Maluku Waters have a low to moderate has a connection to rainfall in the City of Ternate area. When the Sea Surface Temperature in the North Maluku Waters region increases, the rainfall in the City of Ternate will also increase, conversely, if a Sea Surface Temperature in the North Maluku decreases, the rainfall in the City of Ternate will also decrease. The connection of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) to rainfall is in the low to moderate category, but it can already indicate that when Sea Surface Temperature (SST) in North Maluku Waters has an increased the rainfall in the City of Ternate region will also increase.
