  • Description: In this study, the aim was to investigate the relationships between problematic internet usage levels and adaptation to college life levels of university students. Besides, the effects of gender and class level were investigated. The sample of research was consisted of 230 female and 144 male, totally 382 college students. Data was collected by Problematic Internet Usage Scale and Adaptation to College Life Scale. Data was analyzed by using SPSS 20 programme with parametric techniques as, Spearman Brown correlation, Kruskal Wallis H and Mann Whitney U. According to results, there were statistically significant negative relationships between problematic internet usage levels and adaptation to college life levels of university students. According to gender, problematic internet usage levels and adaptation to college environment, personal and social adaptation levels of university students were differentiated. Besides, it was found that problematic internet usage of freshman was more intense than the others and adaptation to college life increased with grade level.
