  • Description: The Forest Carbon Initiative Projects Portal is an interactive mapping application that provides easy access to information about forest carbon projects completed across British Columbia. The Forest Carbon Initiative (FCI) was launched in 2017 as a key element of British Columbia's commitment to take action on climate change. FCI is a long-term provincial-scale program that increases carbon sequestration and avoids emissions in B.C.'s forests through investments, policies, and education and outreach. FCI is jointly funded by the province and the federal government through the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund (LCELF).
