  • Description: This invention relates to a belt (1) for a fiber web machine, the belt (1) having an inner surface (10) and an outer surface (11), wherein the outer surface (11) of the belt (1) comprises a belt wear indicator (20) having a length (21), and a width (22), wherein the belt wear indicator (20) comprises a recess (24), which extends to a depth of at least 0.1 mm, determined in a depth direction of the belt (1) from the outer surface (11) of the belt to a bottom of the belt wear indicator (20), wherein the belt (1) has at least substantially non-grooved outer surface (11), wherein deviations having a depth of equal to or more than 0.1 mm form equal to or less than 10% from a surface area of the outer surface (11) of the belt (1). The invention further relates to a use of belt wear indicators (20). Keksintö koskee hihnaa (1) kuiturainakonetta varten, jolloin hihnalla (1) on sisäpinta (10) ja ulkopinta (11), jolloin hihnan (1) ulkopinta (11) käsittää hihnan kulumisosoittimen (20), jolla on pituus (21) ja leveys (22), jolloin hihnan kulumisosoitin (20) käsittää syvennyksen (24), joka ulottuu ainakin 0,1 mm:n syvyyteen määritettynä hihnan (1) syvyyssuunnassa hihnan ulkopinnasta (11) hihnan kulumisosoittimen (20) alaosaan, jolloin hihnalla (1) on ainakin olennaisesti uraton ulkopinta (11), jolloin poikkeamat, joilla on 0,1 mm:n suuruinen tai sitä suurempi syvyys, muodostavat 10% tai vähemmän hihnan (1) ulkopinnan (11) pinnan alasta. Keksintö koskee edelleen hihnan kulumisosoittimen (20) käyttöä.
