  • Description: The problem of access to care is a current societal problem, the unequal distribution of professionals and the current demography creates an inequality of access to care.To try to answer this problem and find solutions, a national survey was carried out by the Conference of deans in Odontology.This thesis presents the results of this survey of external students in 6th year from the Faculty of Dental Surgery of Nice for the year 2021/2022.A questionnaire of 35 questions was distributed to students via an online platform.This shows a lack of information and a lack of knowledge of the subject by the students.The criteria which seem to be decisive in the choice of orientation concern essentially the quality and comfort of life offered by the profession.Students seem attached to their home region and are reluctant to settle in under-endowed areas. Most of them want a liberal and group exercise.The incentives put in place seem inadequate and inadequate (as the Contrat d’engagement de service public (CESP) in its present form).Territorial zoning needs to be updated and redefined to allow better targeting of deficit areas. Among the solutions proposed, it could be considered to create structures in these areas that allow group exercise, encourage the implementation of the active internship in under-endowed areas and, if necessary, regulate the conditions of installation of practitioners according to the areas. La problématique de l’accessibilité des soins est un problème actuel de société, l’inégale répartition des professionnels et la démographie actuelle crée une inégalité d’accès aux soins.Pour tenter de répondre à cette problématique et trouver des solutions, une enquête nationale a été diligentée par la Conférence des doyens en Odontologie.Cette thèse présente les résultats de cette enquête auprès des étudiants externes en 6ème année issus de la faculté de chirurgie dentaire de Nice pour l’année 2021/2022.Un questionnaire de 35 questions a été diffusé auprès des étudiants via une plateforme en ligne.Il en ressort un manque d’informations et une méconnaissance du sujet par les étudiants.Les critères qui paraissent déterminants dans le choix d’orientation concernent essentiellement la qualité et le confort de vie qu’offre la profession.Les étudiants paraissent attachés à leur région d’origine et sont peu enclins à s’installer dans des zones sous-dotées. Ils souhaitent majoritairement un exercice libéral et de groupe.Les mesures incitatives mises en place semblent insuffisantes et inadaptées (comme le Contrat d’engagement de service public (CESP) dans sa forme actuelle).Le zonage territorial nécessite une actualisation, voir une redéfinition pour permettre un meilleur ciblage des zones déficitaires. Parmi les solutions proposées, il pourrait être envisagé de créer dans ces zones des structures permettant l’exercice de groupe, encourager la réalisation du stage actif en zones sous-dotées et si nécessaire réguler les conditions d’installation des praticiens selon les zones.
