Description:
Quartz-based solid surfacing that is strong, durable and lightweight, with significantly improved physical and mechanical properties. It is manufactured one at a time using a proprietary technique to attain the deep veining that runs from top to bottom, resulting in one-of-a-kind slabs. These slabs are composed of ~ 93-95% quartz, and the rest is a combination of resin and pigments. The deep quartz ‘veins’ allow the sculpting of edges and profiles. It offers high impact (>15 J (11.06 ft-lbf)), abrasion (28-30 mm (1.1-1.2 in)), chemical (C4 Alkalis) and flexural resistance of 80-90 MPa (11603 to 13053 psi), along with zero water absorption, surface hardness of natural quartz, low thermal expansion coefficient and fire resistance with smoke emission of A2fl- S1 according to UNE-EN-ISO 9239-1:2002 and ISO 1716:2002. The standard slab size is 120 x 55.1 in (305 x 140 cm) with a typical thickness of 2 cm (0.79 in) and the special slab size of 130 x 65 in (330 x 165 cm); thickness of 3 cm (1.18 in) is available upon request. The size, thickness, and the design, including veins and color of the quartz, can be customized. It is offered in different finishes such as Polished, Glace and Curved. The polished finish intensifies colors, providing longer life. The Glace is a new soft matte finish with a glow. It is also possible to produce seamless curved surfaces by cladding edges of curved pieces. This material is NSF 51 Certified for use in food related establishments and has achieved GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold Certification for indoor air quality. Applications include kitchen countertops, bathroom surfaces, worktops, tables, floor coverings and wall coverings for residential, industrial, public and educational facilities.
