  • Description: Drez discusses the plight of US Navy pilot Lt Giles Norrington, whose flight onboard a North American RA-5C Vigilante reconnaissance/attack plane down the Ho Chi Minh Trail led to his imprisonment in the Hoa Lo Prison in Hanoi, Vietnam, known to American prisoners of war as the infamous Hanoi Hilton. His journey there was marked by abuse, neglect, beatings, and stoning by villagers. Norrington retired as a captain in 1988, after 34 years of service.
