[Also in Group XXX] In a device for handling ballast under railway tracks comprising a flat framework to be drawn along between the rail bed and the sleepers (see Group XXX), the device may be in the form of a plough provided on its underside with a series of mole plates 125, 126, 127, 128, 131, 132 for moving ballast to the sides of the track beneath the sleepers. At the rear and at each side of the device vertically adjustable keel devices 155 are provided. Specification 793,759 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,921,390, 2,924,897 and 2,961,972 are referred to.
