  • Description: Sirtuins family is a class Ⅲ histone deacetylase of a highly conserved catalytic domain. Sirtuins family exerts effects on cancers, cardiovascular diseases, metabolic diseases and neurological diseases. Recent studies have found that Sirtuins members are closely related to the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis (As) by regulating the occurrence and development of As through diverse physiological mechanisms such as oxidative stress, energy metabolism and inflammatory response. We hope it provides evidence and direction for using SIRT1-SIRT7 as the target of As treatment.
