Nel 2018, lAutorita portuale di Boston, Massport Authority, da avvio ad un deciso cambio di rotta, integrando la programmazione in essere con un nuovo Master Plan, incentrato sullo spazio pubblico del Seaport District, lavorando secondo una logica multi-obiettivo, volta a soddisfare sia la richiesta di inclusione sociale, sia quella di nuovi attrattori urbani, sia quella per la messa in sicurezza dell'area dal rischio climate change.
