  • Description: Research suggests that parent involvement improves academic achievement, but in the busy world in which we live it is often difficult to promote. Many researchers suggest that successful programs value parents' limited time constraints, diversity of literacy skills, and availability of materials. The Great Poetry Race provides an easy vehicle to practice sight words, word identification skills, and fluency while promoting nonthreatening parent involvement. The activity requires little preparation on the teacher's part and inspires enthusiasm for literacy in many unexpected ways. تقترح الأبحاث العلمية أن مشاركة الوالدين تحسّن الإنجاز الدراسي لكن في العالم المشغول الذي نعيش فيه الآن توجد صعوبة في تنفيذ هذه الفكرة. يقترح كثير من الباحثين أن البرامج الناجحة تقدر التزامات الوالدين بأوقاتهم الضيقة ومهاراتهم المتنوعة في تعلمهم وتوفر المواد. إذ تقدم مسابقة الشعر الكبرى وسيلة متميزة لممارسة استيعاب الكلمات بنظرة واحدة وتحسين ملكات تحديد الكلام وتقوية المرونة القرائية وكذلك تربية فكرة مشاركة الوالدين بطريقة غير مهددة. يتطلب النشاط قليلاً من الاستعداد على جانب المعلم وتلهم التحمس للتعلم في طرق غير متوقعة. 研究认为学生家长的参与能改进学生的学科学习成绩，但在我们生活的繁忙世界里，要促进这种参与，是经常会遇到困难的。许多研究者认为成功的学习计划要重视家长的时间拘限性、多样化的读写技巧和可利用的教材。「伟大的诗歌种族」这项学习活动提供一种容易使用的教学工具，让学生练习常见字、训练辨认生字的技能和练习阅读的流畅度，同时更提供一个没有威胁性的教学环境促进家长的参与。这项活动只需教师做少许准备工作，却可通过许多意想不到的方式激励学生对读写学习的热爱。 Les recherches suggèrent que l'implication des parents favorise la réussite scolaire, mais dans le monde agité dans lequel nous vivons elle est souvent difficile à obtenir. De nombreux chercheurs suggèrent que les méthodes qui réussissent tiennent compte des contraintes de temps limitées des parents, de leur compétence variable en lecture‐écriture, et de la disponibilité du matériel. Le grand concours de poésie fournit un moyen facile pour entraîner les compétences de reconnaissance des mots, d'identification des mots, et de fluidité tout en favorisant une implication qui est sans menaces pour les parents. Cette activité demande peu de préparation de la part de l'enseignant et suscite l'enthousiasme pour la lecture‐écriture en suivant des voies souvent inattendues. Исследования подсказывают, что участие родителей повышает успеваемость детей, но в современном мире взрослые слишком заняты и не всегда могут уделить детям должное внимание. Многие ученые полагают, что не стоит рассчитывать на родителей. Успешные программы учитывают, что родители заняты, что они имеют разный уровень грамотности и что в семьях не всегда имеются нужные для обучения материалы. Программа Большая гонка за рифмами предлагает простые приемы для распознавания сходных по виду слов, помогает развивать навыки идентификации слов и беглого чтения и привлекает родителей к обучению детей в неугрожающих формах и объемах. Работа по этой программе не требует от учителя долгой подготовки и стимулирует интерес к грамотности различными, порой неожиданными способами. Estudios de investigación sugieren que la participación de los padres mejora los logros académicos, pero es difícil fomentarlo en este mundo tan ajetreado en el que vivimos. Muchos investigadores sugieren que los programas que han tenido éxito han valorado el poco tiempo que tienen los padres, la diversidad de sus destrezas, y la disponibilidad de materiales. La Gran Carrera de Poesía proporciona un medio fácil para practicar palabras a primera vista, las destrezas de identificación de palabras, y la fluidez al mismo tiempo que fomenta la participación de los padres de una forma no amenazante. Tal actividad requiere poca preparación de parte del maestro e inspira entusiasmo por el aprendizaje de muchas formas inesperadas.
