  • Description: To effectively absorb shock applied to a backrest.SOLUTION: A backrest structure for a saddle-riding type vehicle includes: a backrest; a support pillar 41 extending downwardly from the backrest; and a bracket 42 fastened to a vehicle body. The support pillar 41 is supported by the bracket 42. A tabular member 43 that faces an upper surface 42a of the bracket 42 is fastened to the upper surface 42a. The tabular member 43 includes a support pillar fastening portion 61 that becomes upwardly apart from the upper surface 42a. The support pillar 41 is fastened to the support pillar fastening portion 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】バックレストに作用する衝撃を効果的に吸収できるようにする。【解決手段】鞍乗り型車両のバックレスト構造は、バックレストと、バックレストから下方に延びる支柱（４１）と、車体に固定されるブラケット（４２）とを備え、支柱（４１）がブラケット（４２）に支持され、ブラケット（４２）の上面（４２ａ）には、上面（４２ａ）に対向する板部材（４３）が固定され、板部材（４３）は、上面（４２ａ）に対し上方に離間する支柱固定部（６１）を備え、前記支柱（４１）は、前記支柱固定部（６１）に固定されている。【選択図】図６
