  • Description: Cloud computing has become a trendy service delivery model, bringing several benefits. However, in order to apply the cloud model to specific scenarios, some challenges still need to be addressed. Two of these problems are deploying and executing applications in multiple providers, and each one comprises several services with similar functionalities and different capabilities. Thus, dealing with application distributions in various providers is a complex task for a software architect since the components of the applications have different characteristics. Some works proposed solutions to face the challenges addressed here, but most focus on service providers. Aiming at facilitating the software architect's decision-making process, we have presented in our previous work the use of PacificClouds, an architecture for managing the deployment and execution of applications based on microservices and distributed in a multi-cloud way. Therefore, this work focuses on the challenges of multiple cloud selection for PacificClouds and choosing providers that best meet the microservices and software architect requirements. In this work, we propose a selection model and three approaches to meet the variety of scenarios. We also evaluated the performance of the approaches and carried out a comparative analysis of them. Results show their feasibility regarding the performance.
