  • Description: This paper presents the results of surveys of ponds in the Zumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature Park. The data were collected during 2005 and 164 ponds still present in this area were registered, of at least 342 ponds that were here in the past. The trend in pond loss in this area was calculated, and the opinions of the 54 inhabitants about ponds are analysed.
