Description:
In postcommunist Hungary, there has been a steady increase in the number of small businesses & a concomitant falloff in the number of large businesses. Analysis reveals that most of the new businesses are family owned & operated. These entrepreneurs usually do not wish to employ outside labor unless absolutely necessary, & then only to a minimal extent. Thus, such companies are unlikely to experience the jump to midsize. 4 Tables, 20 References. Adapted from the source document.
