  • Description: Correa thanks the Institute of Transportation Engineers members, staff, councils, committees, and task forces. As the ITE International President she was fortunate to travel to each of the Districts in the US and Canada. It was fascinating to learn more about how the cities and states are incorporating projects to enhance safety for all users, learning from their history and culture as well. She enjoyed engaging with members at all the District meetings and participating in social events that make each District unique. The highlight of it all has been the engagement with the younger members. Along with members of the Executive Committee, she met with younger members of all Districts to talk about ITE current initiatives, the future of the organization, and how they can better serve the younger members. As a result of those engagements, ITE staff has developed some initiatives for next year to build on their input.
