  • Description: The blade system has cutting edges of knives (10) traversely guided into position by guiding surfaces in removable guide component (14) supported on the disc and are fitted together with the knives by guiding recesses (16) in the knives. The system has at least one turntable or at least two exchangeable guide components (14), in which at least two guiding surfaces between the knife and the guide are mutually at different distances from the guiding surfaces between the guide component and the disc. The distance from the cutting edge (30) to the opposite knife edge which decreases as the knives are sharpened is maintained by exchanging the guide or by turning around an asymmetrical guide so that the distance of the cutting edge from the guide component surface supported on the disc remains the same.
