  • Description: Brea's downtown area, located at the intersection of Brea Boulevard and Imperial Highway, will soon have a new look after a comprehensive revitalization. Phase I is currently under construction. The project is a vertical and horizontal mixed-use development divided into three components and several phases. The components include the Gateway Center, Baywood Housing and Birch Walk. Gateway Center will feature approximately 185,000 square feet of retail/commercial space, restaurants and office space. The retail center's major tenants will include a Ralph's supermarket, Payless Drug Store PetSmart, Cost Plus and Blockbuster Video The center is currently 72% pre-leased. (excerpt)
