  • Description: Global ecosystem maps are invaluable for identifying strategic zones and characterizing biotic features. However, existing maps often lack critical altitudinal range information for delineating mountain ecosystems and crops that depend on altitudinal ranges. Recognizing the importance of altitude in agroforestry practices, we combined biomes from Dinerstein et al.'s (2017) Ecoregions dataset with digital elevation models sourced from Jarvis et al. (2008). This integration enables the delineation of zones suitable for potential agroforestry systems, particularly those reliant on altitude-sensitive crops like shade cacao and coffee. This output offers a comprehensive solution for mapping agroforestry ecosystems, facilitating informed agricultural and environmental management decision-making.
