  • Description: This research paper examines the investment patterns and preferences of youth in the district of Ranchi, focusing on their investment objectives, saving and investment habits, risk appetite, preferred classes of assets for investment and others. The study contributes to a deeper understanding of the financial behaviour of youth in the region, offering insights into their motivations and choices regarding investment. Based on primary data, the study revealed that the youth display conservative investment tendencies due to factors like limited income and financial responsibilities, with females favouring stability and males showing a higher inclination towards risk. Their diverse motivations encompass income generation, property acquisition, education funding, and retirement security, leading to a varied investment portfolio including stocks, bank deposits, mutual funds, and interest in emerging options like crypto currencies.
