Description:
The health emergency linked to the Covid-19 pandemic has increased public interest in e-health, the so-called e-Health, which involves the use of increasingly cutting-edge technologies based on artificial intelligence, blockchains and the Internet of things to open up new forms of interaction between man and machine. In the medical field, the world of information technology is now projected towards the creation of a new generation of devices capable of collecting and processing data and information in real time, capable of integrating and interacting constantly with the body of those who use them. This vast area of experimentation takes the name of the Internet of Bodies, or Internet of bodies, which describes a wide range of Internet-connected devices that monitor the human body, collect physiological, biometric or behavioral data, and exchange information through a wireless network. But the convergence between health care and technology raises several concerns about the legal and ethical consequences of the use of tools that connect humans to the Internet, not only from the point of view of the protection of personal data, but also in relation to information security and bioethical issues.
