  • Description: In a method of treating wood fibre pulp, especially that containing waste paper, the pulp is dewatered and heated by means of superheated steam under pressure before the pulp is sent to a disperser 10 for fine distribution. From the disperser, the pulp is transferred without separate escaping of the steam to an output plug screw 20, at the end of which is formed a tight plug consisting of compressed pulp. The end of the plug screw 20 is closed by a valve element 21 which opens when the pressure of the formed plug exceeds a predetermined value. The protected subject also includes a disperser 10 with essentially rectangular outlet, connected to a plug screw 20 of the indicated kind.
