The authors provide a compilation of individual projects and potential principles drawn from a wide swath of strategic enrollment management practices across various institutions in the United States and Canada. An extremely intelligent quote illustrating the tension of business versus student in our field of practice comes from a panel discussion at the 2016 AACRAO SEM Conference (Ralston 2016): "Use data, but love students, not the other way around."
