  • Description: In current days, localization is standing as a major aspect while considering the placement of nodes. In this paper, we have given an overview of localization followed by the various aspects of localization. Afterwards, we have elaborated various ranging techniques such as: ToA, TDoA, Angle of arrival and RSS used in localization with its analytical aspects. Then we have described the analytical overview of various range based localization strategies like triangulation, trilateration and multilateration, where various reference localizations are employed. The current paper elaborates the way to localize nodes in more dimensions and the way to find the location information for unlocalized nodes. Keywords:
