  • Description: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: The primary objective is to assess the effectiveness and acceptability of community‐based interventions (randomised controlled trials only) in comparison with controls (no treatment, waiting list, alternative treatment) for preventing and treating mental health problems (major depression, anxiety, post‐traumatic stress disorder, psychological distress) and improving mental health in refugee children and adolescents in high‐income countries. The secondary objective is to comprehensively summarise evidence from non‐randomised quantitative and qualitative studies on community‐based interventions for mental health promotion and preventing and treating mental disorders among refugee children and adolescents in high‐income countries.
