Description: This paper aims to investigate the relation between the free float rates and the profitability of textile firms in the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE). The data are obtained from 27 textile firms included in the ISE between the year of 2010 and 2014. In this context, return on sales, return on assets, return on equity and, earnings per share are used as dependent variables and free float rate, age of firms and financial leverage are used as independent variables. In analyzing the data, the panel regression model was used. As the result of the study, it was determined that free float rate of firms affect their profitability as negative.
