Description:
The invention relates generally to an autonomous sailing vessel. There are a lot of tasks on the sea that requires reliable vessels. At the same time, usage of fossil fuel and pollution is a big problem. According to the present invention, an autonomous sailing vessel comprises at least one Flettner- rotor (102) and at least one sail (104). The autonomous sailing vessel further comprises means for gathering energy. By combining a sail (104) and a Flettner-rotor (102) it can be possible to improve the efficiency of the autonomous sailing vessel and to provide a sailing vessel, which can be out of the sea ready for work and can be independent of fuel supplement and wind conditions. Keksintö liittyy yleisesti autonomisesti kulkevaan purjehdusalukseen. Merellä on useita tehtäviä, jotka vaativat luotettavia aluksia. Samaan aikaan fossiilisten polttoaineiden käyttö ja saastuminen ovat suuria ongelmia. Esillä olevan keksinnön mukainen autonomisesti kulkeva purjehdusalus käsittää ainakin yhden Flettner-roottorin (102) ja ainakin yhden purjeen (104). Autonomisesti kulkeva purjehdusalus käsittää edelleen energiankeruuvälineitä.
