Description:
The invention relates to treating primary effluent of a pulp, paper or plywood mill at a waste water treatment plant by introducing exhaust gas comprising carbon dioxide (CO2) into the primary effluent comprising calcium (Ca2+) and arranging the carbon dioxide (CO2) to react with the calcium present in the primary effluent to form calcium carbonate (CaCO3).
