  • Description: Over the past few decades, foreign criminal organizations have arrived in Italy alongside traditional Mafia associations, already firmly rooted in large sections of the national territory, attracting the attention of major national investigative bodies. This paper examines organized crime of a Chinese origin present in Italy and is divided in three sections. The first defines the main theoretical questions gravitating around this criminal phenomenon. The second furnishes some information on the context of Chinese immigration, and the third examines the specific criminal phenomenology of Chinese groups. On the one hand, analyses will take into account the principal illegal markets in which these groups are involved and, on the other, the modus operandi and internal connections between the criminal players themselves.
