  • Description: Regenerated or artificial cellulosic fibers are manufactured from wood pulp. They constituted about 6.6% of the 99millionton fiber consumption in 2016, and their importance is expected to grow in both textile and technical applications. In this chapter, we describe the available technologies for fiber production, the current understanding of the supramolecular structure as related to their influence on tensile properties, and the manufacturing process variables that influence them.
