Description: The University of Connecticut relocated its Stamford campus to the city's central business district in December 1998, with the intent to enhance and encourage relationships with the urban community and downtown businesses. The adaptive reuse of a 225,000-square-foot obsolete department store and parking garage was the starting basis for the $40 million project.
