  • Description:   Humic substances form most of the organiccomponent of soil, peat and natural waters, but their structureand properties very much differs depending on their source. Theaim of this study is to characterize humic acids from raised bogpeat to evaluate the homogeneity of humic acids isolated from thebog bodies and study peat humification impact on properties ofhumic acids. Peat humic acids (HA) have an intermediateposition between the living organic matter and coal organicmatter.
