Looking Ahead: Getting To Know You, Faster

Description:
When thinking about what the future holds for information technology, two themes surface: customer intimacy and speed. In this customer economy, the buyer rules - and that buyer, armed with high-bandwidth connections that span the globe and never put out a "Closed" sign, has more knowledge, more leverage, more choices, and more fickleness than ever before. So the challenge is substantial, but hardly insurmountable. One can know with great certainty that the future will bring massive change. Technologies will come and go, companies will be created or go out of business, global sources of innovation and excellence will be mined, and business processes will be relentlessly optimized. But one constant is that organizations will always need to deliver greater value to their customers, and in the technology-pervasive future, that value will mean the ability to move as rapidly as those customers and prospects.
