  • Description: Purpose – In the study, it is expected to provide an overview of the related publications by examining the studies on ethical entrepreneurship in the national and international literature, to provide information about network structures, to enable the monitoring of developments and changes in the field as well as to shed light on future studies in order to spread ethical awareness in entrepreneurship. Design/methodology/approach – Studies on “ethics” and “entrepreneurship” on the subject through TR Index Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM) until 2021 and similarly on “ethics” AND “entrepreneurship” (in English) on the subject published under the SCI, SSCI and AHCI citation indexes through Web of Science database were analyzed. As a result of the research, using social network analysis via VOS Viewer program for international publications institutions and author collaborations were presented in maps. In the study, a total of 313 works in national and international literature were examined using the bibliometric citation analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. Findings – Based on the studies published in the Ulakbim TR index, it is seen that the issue of ethics and entrepreneurship has not been studied sufficiently in the national literature. In the Web of Science database, there is a remarkable increase in the number of studies in 2013, and later due to reasons such as journals particularly devoted to the ethics subject, and technological developments. When compared with the studies in the international literature, it is noteworthy that the social entrepreneurship dimension of the subject is not discussed in the national literature. In addition, in terms of citations, the fact that the number of citations to national studies is quite low compared to international ones reveals the low level of awareness. Discussion – The analysis shows that the issue of ethical entrepreneurship has not been sufficiently covered in national studies yet and that it is insufficient to determine the connection between the issue of ethics and entrepreneurship. The academic community needs to support and contribute to the development of ethical entrepreneurship with scientific data through researches at micro, meso and macro levels. So that, those studies will draw the attention of organizations to focus on ethical entrepreneurship in challenging Red Ocean conditions for their sustainability.
