Description:
Objective To study the clinical features of cerebral infarction (CI) patients acute exposed to highland and compare with those of high altitude cerebral edema (HACE) patients, and to provide reference for avoiding misdiagnosis clinically. Methods The clinical data of 10 patients who had CI due to quickly entering highland and hospitalized in General Hospital of Tibet Command from March 2009 to October 2011 were collected and 40 patients with HACE in the corresponding period were randomly selected as control group. The general data, clinical symptoms, focal neurological signs and assistant examination results were compared between two groups. Results The proportion of CI risk factors (hypertension and diabetes) and positivity rate of focal neurological signs in CI group were significantly higher than those in HACE group (P 0.05).
