  • Description: APPLYING insecticides in the form of a smoke is a long-established practice. Pyrethrum has been used in this way by the Chinese for centuries, and burning nicotine shreds in glasshouses has been a common practice in Great Britain and elsewhere for a long time. These practices were empirical and there were little or no quantitative data on their effect.
