Description:
Derivates of valproic acid are molecules with teratogenic effects wich were being used with women of childbearing age in the treatment of bipolar disorders. Since July 2017 in France, their use is contraindicated for girls, teenage girls, women of childbearing age and pregnant women. However, little data is available on alternatives to these treatments for this population group. The DEPLHI method, which is a consensus method, has been used to develop proposals for recommendations through a panel of experts chosen by their skills in this area.
