  • Description: In the course of French tourism, Chinese students of French major tend to perceive linguistic aspect and that of visit to be more important than professional knowledge of tourism. Our study aims to find, through a correlational analysis, the relationship between the learning results and the motivational perceptions, in particular the perception of the value of the three aspects in the course content. We confirm that the perception of the competence to succeed and that of the controllability of the course are positively related to the learning results. The correlations between the learning results and the perception of the value of tourism professional knowledge are also proved. Some advices are provided in order to improve the teaching of French tourism in Chinese context.
