  • Description: Police in Cleveland said they observed numerous examples of poor driver behavior after they used an unmarked HGV for four days to spot offences committed in the cabs of other lorries. Over the course of the operation, from October 24 to 27, 2024, police discovered three offences of driving while using a mobile phone, six people not wearing seatbelts, two vehicles without MoT or insurance, three vehicles with insecure loads, and two overweight vehicles. Officers were using a truck loaned to them National Highways for an elevated position to see the offences being committed.
