  • Description: [...]physicians in any specialty who are likely to encounter such problems must have a ready, practical reference relative to their diagnosis and treatment. Here, the chapters deal with a wide spectrum of subjects, including cardiac emergencies in pregnancy, the neonatal period, and childhood, as well as the usual urgent problems in adults -- myocardial infarction, pulmonary edema, pericardial tamponade, cardiac trauma, and arrhythmias. Some readers may object to this cookbook approach; the charts might be considered for computer adaptation in the future.
