NANY beats SALY Despite the opportunities, the lack of entrepreneurship in auditing has significant implications for a noble profession that protects investors and others who place their trust in audited financial statements. Other paths will be forced by disrup-tors who will challenge the status quo by building new firms from scratch that promote autonomy, but that rely on the power of a community that benefits from shared resources, infrastructure and advanced audit technologies.
